DROID Phones from Verizon

Today was the release for the Android based phone by Motorola - Droid. If you were in Times Square, NY you were able to get one at midnight. There were not many long lines for this new phone, but an aggresive media campaign did have many interested in the release. The phone runs Android 2.0, 16GB pre-installed memory, very rich 3.7in WVGA screen with 854x480 screen and 3GEVD on the Verizon Wireless Network. The Price is$199 with a two year contract
Also available from Verizon is the HTC Eris. The phone runs Android 1.5, 8GBinstalled exandable to 16GB, 3.2in 320x480 screen. This comes in a little lower at $99 with two year contract. I will give you more of a review when I get a chance to play with one. Please share your experiences with this new line from Verizon.
